MfA Vacancy

Come and join us in Zambia!

MfA is currently inviting applications for the post of Chief Executive and Principal of the MfA, based in Ndola.

Mechanics for Africa (MfA) runs a highly successful Christian college in Ndola, the heart of Zambia's Copperbelt Province. We provide sponsored training to disadvantaged young Zambians by offering a two-year course helping our seventy-plus students develop a range of life-skills and training them as motor mechanics.

The project was initiated by members of a village Church in the UK. Our students' education is supported by UK sponsors, with an increasing proportion of our running costs funded by an on-site commercial and training workshop and other surplus-generating activities.

For the past two years our team of twenty Zambian staff have been led by our Ndola-based Principal, Harry Weld-Forester. Harry and his wife plan to return to the UK with their family in April 2021 for the secondary education of their children.

The Zambian and UK trustees of MfA are now looking for someone to take over the role of Chief Executive and Principal of the college. The successful applicant is likely to have experience of leadership within an academic environment and have keen business or project management skills. Previous experience within Zambia or Southern Africa will be a definite advantage. Remuneration will include accommodation in a four-bedroomed house on the campus.

It is an occupational requirement to be a Christian.
