What do we believe?

Statement of belief

'As a church we advocate the historic Christian faith as expressed in 'the Apostles' Creed' (see below). We meet together regularly to learn how we apply the Bible to our everyday lives and we seek to be dependent on the Holy Spirit in order to fulfil 'the Great Commandment' (Mark 12v29-31) and the 'the Great Commission' (Matthew 28v18-20). Mission is at the heart of who we are, as we believe the gospel of God's grace is the essential need of all human beings'.

Apostles' Creed

We believe in God, the Father Almighty, Creator of heaven and earth. We believe in Jesus Christ, his only Son our Lord. He was conceived by the Holy Spirit and born of the virgin Mary. He suffered under Pontius Pilate, was crucified, died, and was buried. He descended to the dead. On the third day he rose again. He ascended into heaven, and sits at the right hand of the Father. From there he will come again to judge the living and the dead. We believe in the Holy Spirit, the holy catholic church, the communion of saints, the forgiveness of sins; the resurrection of the body, and the life everlasting. Amen.
